Privacy Policy

This policy explains what InOneOS collects, why, and how it's handled. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it — plainly, and scoped to what the product actually does.

1. What we collect

• Account details — the email you verify with an OTP, and the username/password you choose. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes; we cannot read your password back.
• Content you submit to AI tools — questions, notes, and text you send to features like the Doubt Solver, Notes Generator, or Resume Builder are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate a response. We don't use this content to train any model ourselves.
• Payment records — when you subscribe, payment is processed by Cashfree. We store the order ID, amount, and subscription period on our side — never your card, UPI, or bank details. Those go directly to Cashfree.
• Locally-stored data — free tools like the To-Do List, Habit Tracker, and Planner save their data in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device or reaches our servers.
• Basic usage data — standard server logs (timestamps, error traces) to keep the service running and debug issues.

2. What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
• We don't show ads or share your data with advertisers.
• We don't read the content of your files processed by browser-only tools (PDF merge, image resize, OCR, etc.) — those run entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to us.

3. Third-party services we rely on

InOneOS is built on a small number of specific services, each handling only what's necessary for its part:

• Google Gemini API — powers the AI tools. Text you submit to an AI tool is sent to Google for processing.
• Cashfree Payments — handles all subscription payments and card/UPI details.
• Gmail (via SMTP) — sends the one-time OTP codes used during sign-up and password reset.

4. How long we keep data

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. OTP codes expire and are deleted after 5 minutes, whether used or not. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us (see our Contact page) and we'll remove it within a reasonable timeframe.

5. Your choices

• You can stop using any AI tool at any time — nothing is sent unless you actively submit a request.
• You can clear locally-stored tool data anytime by clearing your browser's site data for InOneOS.
• You can request account deletion or a copy of your stored data by contacting us.

6. Children's privacy

InOneOS is built for students, including those under 18. We don't knowingly collect more information than described above, and we don't require any information beyond an email and a chosen username/password to use the product.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the dashboard.
